New season of the Butrint Training School will be held from 1-st to 21-st of July 2012.

The course will consist of two separate programs for three weeks.

1-Excavation techniques and data analysis in the field

2-Practical monument conservation and cultural heritage management program

Archaeological survey in Vjosa

Project team during a systematic survey of the territoryDuring September October 2011, FoAP project undertook an archaeological landscape survey of the upper part of the Vjosa river valley. It was a collaborative project between Albanian Heritage Foundation (AHF) and Albanian Agency of the Archaeological Service (ASA) – Ministry of Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports. The filed survey and research work were conducted by Ardit Miti and Eglantina Serjani, with the participation of Surja Lela (ASA), Dr. Dave Bescoby (University of East Anglia), Prof. Jose Maria, Martin Civantos (University of Granada), Glejdi Floku, 

Berat Guide Book

Book Launch Ceremony Eternal Butrint

Eternal ButrintOn the 13th of June the Albanian Heritage Foundation and Toena Publishing House, organized a book launch ceremony at the Rogner Hotel on the occasion of the publication in Albanian of Eternal Butrint, a book by Richard Hodges and translated into Albanian by Diana Ndrenika.

The book launch where the author was present, was very well received and there was a lot of media attention too. A second book launch was organized in Saranda on the 15th of June
