The Butrint Experience 2010

From 4th to 24th of July 2010 The Butrint Training Course will organise two parallel programs regarding:

Excavation techniques and data analysis in the field

Practical monument conservation and cultural heritage management program

Butrint Training Field Course is a training program organized for international and Albanian students who want to be trained with the field techniques in archaeology, conservation and culture heritage. The exchange experience between students and lecturers will extend discussions about archaeology, culture heritage, conservation and also nowadays cultures.  Undergraduate and graduate students will have the opportunity to follow high - quality courses combined both academic and practical field work, but mainly concentrated in the field...more

 

The 8th SEE Heritage Meeting held in Rijeka, Croatia
Albania was represented at the 8th SEE Heritage Network meeting, held in Rijeka (Croatia), with the industrial communist period. The main poster’s purpose was to raise awareness about the bad conditions and the wrong way in preserving the Industrial Heritage. AHF is seeking for new approaches to this heritage which should focus on the design and preservation of these facilities by turning them into community benefits.... more 

 

Participation at the Archaeology Conference CAA 2010

During this time the FOAP project participated in the annual Computer Applications and quantitative methods in Archaeology Albanian Conference CAA 2010: Fusion of Cultures, held during the 5th- 9th of April in the historical city of Granada, (Spain).The development of FOAP project was presented in two papers at two different sessions of the conference.
